Polypropylene fibers are produced with two cuts of 12 and 18 mm for concrete applications and with a longitudinal cut of 6 mm for gypsum and thin mortars. Polypropylene fibers are widely used in the production of thin-thick concrete walls, because in these types of parts it is not possible to use conventional reinforcing bars and polypropylene fibers play the role of reinforcing these sections. Polypropylene fibers alone have low resistance to fire, sunlight and oxygen, but when placed in mortar or concrete, they actually create a kind of protective coating for it, which helps to minimize sensitivity to fire and other environmental effects. Propylene fibers are widely used in industrial flooring and can act as rebar in concrete to reinforce it.
