Product Description – Super Micro Silica Gel Delayed Release
Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Set is a powerful additive based on polycarboxylate ether, consisting of microsilica powder, super lubricant and water repellent, fillers and polypropylene fibers and retarding agents. Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Set is a super pozzolan and has a significant effectiveness in increasing the mechanical and electrical properties of concrete. This additive is used to make various impermeable and durable concretes. Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Set increases the rheological properties of concrete in the paste state and improves the properties of hardened concrete. Adding this material fills the empty spaces between the aggregates, thus increasing the density and cohesion of the concrete and reducing its permeability. Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Set allows for the control of concrete setting, thus enabling large-scale concreting and concreting in tropical areas.
Certainly, by adding super gel microsilica retarder to the concrete mixing plan, both microsilica powder and polycarboxylate lubricant and polypropylene fibers enter the concrete and cause the development of many mechanical properties of concrete. Among the special applications of using super gel microsilica retarder, we can mention concreting in areas that have been attacked by chemicals and corrosives.
In general, this super gel sealant is an advanced reinforced additive and is used to make all kinds of strong, impermeable and durable concrete. Delayed setting microsilica gel is a super pozzolan that has a significant effect on increasing the strength, durability and other properties of concrete. This super gel sealant increases the slump of concrete by reducing the water-to-cement ratio and also creates sufficient and desirable fluidity. Ultimately, this also creates the necessary efficiency during concreting. These additives are classified according to the final setting of concrete, which includes delayed setting super gel, early setting super gel and super gel, and each is used in its own specific climatic conditions.
Mechanism of action of super silica gel retarder
The silica fume in the formulation of the delayed-setting microsilica supergel is a powerful pozzolanic material that can be used instead of cement and has a similar function to cement. After mixing with water and calcium hydroxide, silica fume reacts and thus produces hard calcium silicate, which is very effective in hardening concrete and increasing its strength. The polypropylene fibers in the structure of the delayed-setting microsilica supergel will also improve the mechanical and abrasion properties of concrete. In addition, the polycarboxylate ether in the formulation of the delayed-setting microsilica supergel, which plays the role of a lubricant, forms a membrane on the cement particles, and the spatial barrier caused by the thickness of the absorbed layer prevents the cement particles from clumping together, and creates a repulsive force between the particles caused by the absorption of polymer particles by forming homonymous charges, thus lubricating the concrete. The retarding agents contained in the formulation of this additive make it possible to control the setting of concrete at early ages.
How much to use for super gel microsilica retarder
The amount of Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Use is determined by conducting detailed laboratory studies, but the amount of Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Use is typically 3 to 5 percent of the weight of the cement used. Note that to achieve high compressive strength and achieve strong concrete, you must reduce the mixing water by 10 to 15 percent before adding this material. Excessive use of Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Use can increase fluidity excessively and cause problems for the concrete. It is recommended that a water to cement ratio of 0.4 be considered when adding Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Use to concrete. It is recommended that more than the permitted amount of Super Gel Microsilica Delayed Use should not be added to concrete, as it reduces the rate of hydration of concrete and delays and complicates the setting of concrete.
Storage of super silica gel retarder
Duration: One year in original packaging.
Conditions: Away from cold and frost, heat and direct and prolonged sunlight.
Best storage temperature: +10 to +30 degrees
How to use super gel microsilica retarder
Super Gel Microsilica can be added to concrete in two ways:
- Combine this material with all or part of the concrete mixing water, then add to the dry materials and mix.
- Super Gel Microsilica can be added to the mixing plan after all the concrete mix components have been added.
Note: It should be noted that mixing operation must be carried out for at least 1 minute for each cubic meter of concrete.
